Camping, Mo's Birthday, Chillin' Weekend

Friday I got off work at 2PM and planned to meet up with Timmy, Corrine, Alex, and Tisha in San Onfre State Beach to camp out. I was the first one there but they were right behind me. Corrine and I watched Timmy, Adam, and Alex surf for a while. Hmmm, I think Alex is the only one with actual surfing skills. Sorry my friends. After the boys made us burgers...Yummy! I left at around 10PM, I had to work Saturday...booo! I wish I had been able to stay and play at the beach the next day.

Saturday I worked all day then meet up with Brian and Sean at Blue Beet for Mo's 27th birthday. Some of Mo's friends got kicked out the bar so Mo walked me to my car and went to meet up with the rest of his friends at Beach Ball. I have been so lame lately, I've been wanting to go out, but I can't stay out past midnight. I am officially old.

Sunday I worked again, after work I ambushed Warren at his house. We chilled there since his parents are in Alaska for the next week!

Vespa S

My co-worker at lulu has a Vespa...so cute! He drives it down PCH everyday for work, he pays about $7.50 for a tank a gas! He made me want one now! Gas is out of control, if I can ride a Vespa on surface streets that would save a ton of cash! I know my mom would probably die if I got one. I told Rani and she said, "OMG that is so dangerous," she said she wan't worried about me being safe but other people seeing me. Such a mom! :)

The appeal of the sporty 'Vespino' lives on in the shape of the all-new Vespa S, inspired by Vespa's long traditions in young and dynamic scooter design. The minimalist styling of the Vespa S traces its origins back to legendary models like the Vespa 50 Special and the Vespa Primavera.

The Vespa Special (1969) and Vespa Primavera (1967) became the icons of a generation whose aspirations and conquests were to shape the world for decades to come. Compact, nippy, and dynamic, these models led the way in creating new trends in design and technology, appealing to a youthful generation.

The new Vespa S reflects the same sporty and dynamic characteristics of this previous generation. Design and technology have been carefully considered to emphasize the essence and spirit of Vespa; design is in keeping with the classic Vespa, whilst technology is up to date.

The Weekend Update

Friday started off bright and early at 7:00 am to flip the store. Re-merching the store took till about 1:00 pm. Miguel and I went shopping for the July window at Joann's in Irvine. I'm going to paint some sunsets for the window...wish me luck! Here is one of the wall at work I took a pic of!

Friday night a bunch of us went to Newport Beach Brew Co. Nicci, Jenny, and I left early because we are old people. We got a large cheese pizza from Laventina's and we were out!

Saturday Jenny and I took Gabriel to the Long Beach Aquarium, the trip started off good as usual. Gabriel was having fun but then after an hour and a half he stared to get grumpy and wanted to go home to hang out with the family. He was pretty much saying he wanted to go home over and over again, to which I say "why don't we go look at the sea lions?" Gabriel says, "I don't want to see the sea lions!!!" Me, "Well we are already standing here so you should just look at them!" Then we took him home, he has never been so bad with me! I guess he is feeling abandoned since Cecilia was born.

Saturday night Brian, Jenny, and I rode our bikes to my friend Shannon's house for a party, we were a little too fashionably late and most of the people were leaving by that time. We headed to Goat Hill to have a drink and meet up with Meena.

Canker or No Canker?

I just had a great lunch with Taryn and Victor at the Gypsy Den at the Lab. Their vegetarian chill is delicious!

So, Victor was wondering if he had a canker sore in the back of his mouth or not. I couldn't really see so Taryn went in for a closer look! We decided no canker! I really heart that we are so close that we can stare into each other's mouths and decide if we got funk going on or not! :)

Definition of Canker Sore:
Canker sores are small shallow ulcers that appear in the mouth and often make eating and talking uncomfortable. There are two types of canker sores:

1. Simple canker sores. These may appear three or four times a year and last up to a week. They typically occur in people between 10 and 20 years of age.
2. Complex canker sores. These are less common and occur more often in people who have previously had them.

What Causes Canker Sores?

The exact cause of most canker sores is unknown. Stress or tissue injury is thought to be the cause of simple canker sores. Certain foods – including citrus or acidic fruits and vegetables (such as lemons, oranges, pineapples, apples, figs, tomatoes, strawberries) – can trigger a canker sore or make the problem worse. Use of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, like Motrin, is another common cause. Sometimes a sharp tooth surface or dental appliance, such as braces or ill-fitting dentures, might also trigger canker sores.

Some cases of complex canker sores are caused by an underlying health condition, such as an impaired immune system; nutritional problems, such as vitamin B-12, zinc, folic acid, or iron deficiency; and gastrointestinal tract disease, such as Celiac disease and Crohn's disease.
