Thanksgiving & Goat Hill go hand in hand

Thanksgiving was awesome at the Collins house this year, Denise was on it as usual! She made turkey, green bean casserole, carrots, stuffing, mashed potatoes, pumpkin loaf and chocolate cake! Yummy!

After dinner Jenny and I headed to LAX to pick up my mom, she had been in Taiwan for the past 3 weeks. She had a good flight and our timing for pick up was perfect. Jenny and I dropped her off and went to meet Timmy and Jason for Thanksgiving drinks at Goat Hill(Open 365 days a year)! Timmy got a pitcher of Guinness for my birthday! We had a few heart to hearts, drinks, and people watched as usual, Jason went home early as usual too! Good thing we woke him up when we got back at 1:30am!

Christine, Jenny, and I went the the Citizen of Humanity Sample sale in Costa Mesa today, it was pretty good. We all got 2 pairs each.

Viva Mexico!!!

Mexico was amazing! Taryn, Nicci, and I stayed at the Grand Mayan in Nuevo Vallarta, just a hop skip and a sixteen dollar cab ride to Puerto Vallarta's Boardwalk. Our hotel room was awesome, it was basically a 2 bedroom apartment full with balcony and splash pool. The pools were huge and they had a lazy river.

The first few days we hit the beach in the morning/afternoon then went to local areas. We went to an area called Busaria's, it was a lovely beach town with lots of place to eat and shop. Nicci got a bead covered wooden jaguar which she named Bruce.

Tuesday we went on a bus tour of Puerto Vallarta the final destination of the tour was suppose to be a place called El Eden, this is where Governator filmed the Predator. We never made it to El Eden because I think our tour guides got lazy so we stopped 2km before by the river to take pictures. The Night of the Iguana was filmed on a beach in Puerto Vallarta in the 50s. These are Puerto Vallarta's only claim to fame. We also did a tequila tasting on one of the stops. Did you know the agave plant isn't in the cactus family? It is related to the pineapple and lily.

Wednesday was Canopy Zip Lining! This was probably my favorite part of the trip, there were 10 zip lines that ran a few hundred meters over the canopy of the jungle. Miguel, Edgar, and Hector were our guides, they were hilarious and pretty hot too. We bought the video from Hector who said he would totally customize it for us but did not! It's really boring but still kinda cool.

Thursday we took a boat to a small beach on the other side of Puerto Vallarta. On the way we all jumped off the boat to snorkel for 20 minutes. Nicci threw a bunch of bread at my head so I got to see some cool fish but it was over pretty quickly. We tanned ourselves on the boat on the way to the beach for lunch. We got a included lunch with our boat ride, it was pretty freaking nasty but I ate it cause I was hungry. After lunch we hung out on the beach and swam in the ocean, the water was really clam and warm. Thursday night we went back to the boardwalk and had dinner at PiPi's on Pipila street, it had authentic Mexican food and the biggest margarita's I've ever seen! After dinner we went to La Bodeguita de Medio, it is actually a Cuban restaurant we had eaten at earlier in the week. Taryn has been to the one in Prague and London, she was surprised to see it in Mexico and felt right at home.

Friday we has breakfast and hung out at the hotel until it was time to go to the airport. This trip was absolutely lovely!

Susan G Komen: Race for the Cure

This weekend was Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure supporting breast cancer. Sunday morning came way too early at 6:00 am. Jenny, Christine, Cat, Brittany, and Carolyn, Miguel, Jo, Corie, Kat and I from lululemon ran/walked a 5K around Fashion Island. It only took us about 40 minutes to walk together. We raised $700 dollars for breast cancer research! Christine got us shirts that said, I love Boobies!! Check out the pictures.

After the walk Jenny, Christine, Cat, Brittany and I went to Haute Cakes for breakfast, it was so yummy! Then Jenny and I hit up the spa before I headed back to Fashion Island for work.

Vacations!!!

Puerto Vallarta, MX November 14- 21
New York City, NY December 6-11

I am so excited! I've been needing a sunny vacation and it's almost here! NYC is going to be fun as well! The trips are so close, I will be going from sunny to home to super cold!

Frankie saves 58th! Angel's Win! Salsa Bowls!

Last Saturday Jenny, Warren, Troy and I headed to the Angel's game to meet up with Sarah and Diego. USC and Ohio State were also playing so we left for the game a bit late! Warren had a coupon code for the game so the tickets were only $3.50 each! When we got there we stole some seats on the 2nd level! Sarah and Diego were in the 4th row behind 1st, so we finally went and meet up with them before Frankie was up. We ate a ton of junk food; hot dogs, fries, nachos, bufflo wings from Hooters, soda. Too much. I enjoyed every minute of it!

Jaden's 1st Birthday

I took Saturday off for little Jaden's 1st birthday party! Christine went all out with the Taco Man, tons of food, ice cream cake and Asian cake! I ate entirely too much food that day, so fatty! Muneeb is home for summer break. Victor, Jenny, Muneeb, and I had a really good time. We got Jaden a Ducati Race Set! I hope his big brother will help him play with it! The whole day was pretty mellow, it was nice to have a day off!

I worked Sunday and hung out with Shane and Shawn after work. It was a nice weekend of relaxation after a couple of busy ones this month. Hayley was in town as well! Victor, Taryn, Sarah, Kate and I all went out for Sushi last night for Hay's big 26th! Sarah brought Sprinkles! Yum. I have been eating a lot of cupcakes lately! :)

Vegas August 2008

Warren, Victor, Sarah, Diego, Hilly and I rented a ginormous van to drive out to Vegas together. We left a bit later than we originally planned so we got to Vegas around 9:00PM. Sarah, Diego, Victor, Dale, Dorthy, Kate and her guy stayed at Palms Place in a sick suite. Warren, Hilly and I stayed at the Mirage which they just remodeled so it was really nice. The beds rate just above Mandalay Bay and below the Westin's Heavenly bed. I am the princess and the pea! :)

After getting ready pretty quickly we headed over to Sarah's suite to drink before we headed to the Playboy Club and Moon. Victor's friend Rachel grabbed my hand and kidnapped me and Hilly jumped into the line we were in, so we were in the club a good half hour before the rest of the group got in. Her friend Eddie gave us a tour of the Playboy Club before we headed up to Moon. We saw Bridgette from The Girls Next Door! She is so damn skinny. Moon was a good time, we all drank, danced our asses off and wondered around. We got back to the Mirage at about 5AM Saturday morning. We ended up ordering room service, Hilly ordered eggs Benedict...gross, it was so disgusting. I was about to be asleep when it arrive. The boys could not shut up so we didn't go to sleep till 7AM.

Saturday we went to the pool at the Palms with everyone else! Their pool is really nice, I like being able to chill in 6 inches of water. It was HOT! The pool closed early because Playboy was having their Mid Summers Night Dream Party. We headed back to the Mirage to take a nap before Tryst. Tryst was a bit of an annoyance getting in. We waited in line for 2 hours and we were all over it when we finally got in! Victor met a girl and we took over the guys table next to hers table. I was so happy to find a bed to lay on after standing for 2 hours in heals. No bueno. The guys were really nice and let us hang out in their spot. I love being a girl in Vegas! We left Tryst at 3AM and got chicken fingers at the 24 cafe at the Wynn. I got Hilly hooked on chicken fingers late at night, and Warren got him hooked on Asian girls.

Sunday, Hilly left for LA then England at 11AM. Warren, Sarah, Diego, Victor and I ate at CPK in the Mirage (the first time they came to our hotel) for lunch. I lost $80 at blackjack and craps. We walked across the street so Warren could bet on the Angels to win the World Series and came back. I don't really know they got me outside. SO HOT! We left for home about 4PM and got home at 9:30.

I can't remember the last time I didn't go to Vegas with her. Jenny you can still drive out Saturday!!! I can't wait to relax this weekend. We are staying at the Mirage...tigers! :)

Hip vs. Hipster Pant

Ok my male friends, tune out now. Before I started working at lululemon I loved lululemon. I got my first pair of lulu pants before I started working there. I thought they would always carry the Hip Pant. I was sadly mistaken. lulu hasn't carried the Hip Pant since. Ladies can you understand the disappointment and depression? They were a perfect super low rise waist and flare leg with side seams.

So, a couple weeks ago the fall line came out and I saw there was a Hipster Pant!!!! I was sooooo excited! They came in today...disappointment and depression. There are front seams and piping along the seam...I don't get it. Terrible.

I will never give up hope the Hip Pant will live again.

Shawn & Shane's Wedding 8-3-08

The wedding weekend started with Shawn, Jenny, and I getting our nails done! Then it was off the Westin Hotel in Costa Mesa where we stayed. The rehearsal dinner was on Saturday night after Shawn made me go to the gym with her and run at midnight! We got up super early at 6am Sunday morning because Shawn couldn't sleep...I don't know why those Heavenly beds are AMAZING. We stuck to Shawn's strict time line the whole day and everything went really well. First we went to Salon Gregory to get her hair done, then we went to Gelson's to get a snack, then back to Shawn's house for me to get ready and relaxing for the bride. We arrive at Park Prive at 3PM after another trip to the market and Sephora for some perfume. There the bridal party all got ready, Shawn got her makeup done and we were ready to get her hitched!

The wedding ceremony started at 6PM, it was a beautiful wedding, it was so much fun being the Maid of Honor too! I tried to help her with everything and I was a good lip gloss applier! The dinner was so yummy! We had Sea Bass and Fillet Mignon over mash potatoes with asparagus on the side! I had 2 pieces of cakes too! I have a separate stomach for cake and sugar! Here's some pics...more on Myspace and Facebook!

Hello People

I've been working nonstop, i feel like I haven't had a real minute to breathe. Work was fun last weekend at the US OPEN of SURF. lululemon offered free 20 minute yoga classes in our booth. if you did the class then you got a free Supernatural Yoga Mat which retails for $54.00. Not to shabby. There were a ton of people down at the beach that day, it was craziness.

Work at PC Realm has been a little crappy, the air condition was broken all week. WTF. Our landlord has no sense of urgency unless he is affected. The place is ghetto enough without it being sweaty. On the bright side I got to leave a noon yesterday! I was so stoked. I have no had a day off in almost 2 weeks. I actually went home and caught up on some much needed sleep. After I headed to Jenny's house, her parents have been away and she makes me dinner! Last night was Pad Thai, it was yummy!

So tomorrow starts the mayhem of Shiang-Eu's wedding, I'm really excited, but I know its going to be a lot of work too. I just got the timed itinerary! I get to stay at the Westin (the Westin heavenly beds are the best hotel bed ever!) I still have to work on the toast I'm giving too. Did you know the number one fear of people is public speaking? I totally get it.

Warren Turns Twenty-Six

So Mama Leu went to San Francisco last weekend...so I threw Warren a party for his 26th birthday on Saturday night. It was really fun! Jenny made the best gingerbread cookies in the world, I made peanut butter cupcakes from scratch and Sarah made croissant pudding! Warren was more than satisfied with the sweets...he is still eating them. We had a pretty good turn out, usual Uni crew, Warren's peeps, and lounge 164 crew. I have no pictures because my mom took my camera to SF for the wedding. Oh well, give me pics you guys have any!

When I saw my mom she said (In Chinese) "did you have a party?" I said, "Yes." She said "Were the neighbors pissed?" I said "No." End of conversation.

Warren's real birthday was Monday night, Jenny, Warren, Taryn, and I head to Kitsch Bar for a few drinks to celebrate! I heart Kitsch! <3 We were all pretty tired so we headed home early after getting some food.

VEGAS BABY!!!

This weekend was JC, Betty and Brian's Vegas Vacation. Well it ended up being Jenny and I. Brian, Graham and Mario disappeared after Friday night at Pure. JC and saw them at the elevator once the whole time we were in Vegas. It's all good though, Jenny and I hung out with our friends who were in town that weekend too!

Friday night Olivia got us all into Pure where we danced and drank, JC and I got hungry and our feet were killin' so we ditched everyone and went back to Mandalay Bay for breakfast at Raffles!

Saturday we went with the Olivia and Kaylina to Wet Republic (the Ultra pool at MGM). It was pretty nice, we chilled on beds and danced around in dirty pool water with a million other people. The music was good though. Saturday night we planned to meet up with the girls but they had drama so we hit up the Foundation Room at Mandalay. We were there for about 5 minutes before I got the worst stomach ache of my life. JC was a good sport and we went back to our room where I laid dying for a bit. I passed out and when I woke up at 2am there was room service!

Sunday JC and I got late check out! We told Brian we were checking out and to meet us at Raffles for breakfast. Brian meets us at 1:15PM then wonders away, we get texts from him for his breakfast order then nothing for 3 hours!!!! JC and I were pretty pissed off by 4:00PM, and I lost 40 bucks while waiting for him. We finally find him at a table where we had walked by a few times. Ahhhh! He just tells us to leave him and go home. Normally I would be like WTF I'm not leaving you but its Brian. He ended up getting on a plane at 8:00PM and getting home before we did. So bitter!!! It took us 5.5 hours to get home, the traffic was horrible.

On a Duffy

Saturday I worked from 7:30am to 2:00pm then ran home to get ready for Brian's bday adventure on a duffy. Brian, Hillary, Jayna, Jenny, Tish, Alex, Timmy, Corrine, and I all headed to the fun zone in Newport to get on the duffy. It was a lot of fun! Our first stop was at the Cannery where we had some food. Our next stop was Villa Nova but only people who had to pee got off the boat. The best part of the duffy ride was when Brian got out at the lido club house and went down the slide. The water looked freezing!

Sean's party and Sunset Yoga

Saturday night JC and I went down to San Clemente for Sean Russell's party. The usual suspects were all there when we got there (Jason, Lovin, Timmy, Corrine, Tish, Alex and Brian). I ate a bunch of chips and dip and hung out with the gang. Brian was a drunken spectacle...he broke a chair and wrestled with this one chick who was a little drunken crazy. It was good entertainment for all of us though. I really wish I had my camera!

Sunday I worked all day then got Jenny to go to Sunset Yoga at Main Beach in Laguna. It was a lot of fun, Paul from Triad Yoga taught the class. It was super low impact class, which is what I needed after not yogaing for 2 weeks. During our class I hear "betty leu, betty leu" from the street. It was Jason! J and Amy were meeting Amy's parents for dinner. Thanks for the shout out guys! Jenny really liked the class too! I think she thinks she hates normal yoga because I made her go to a power yoga class a few months ago and she couldn't hang cause it was too hard. See you do like normal level 1 yoga Jenny!

So kids I will be at Sunset Yoga on Sundays on Main Beach at 6PM - 7PM, it's an all levels class anyone can come and it's free!!!

July 4th 2008

The 4th of July this year was in Newport again. Jenny and I woke up bright and early since Brian said to meet at his house at 9am. When we got there he is was passed out on the couch from the night before. JC and I rode our bikes to get ham and cheese from the donut store. Brian finally rallied at 10am. Brian, Jenny, Sean, Jeremy, and I rode our bikes to Sharkee's, I didn't really feel like drinking so I watched them drink 8 pitchers in a couple of hours. It didn't really feel like 4th to me this year in Newport maybe it was because we were at Sharkee's the whole time we were down there.

After a few hours JC and I ditched the boys and rode our bikes back to Lounge 164. We headed back to Irvine to Warren's house where he was having people over. Sara made a feast, it was all so yummy! We chilled and played in the pool at Warrens for a bit. Jenny and I were pretty exhausted so went back to my house for naps. Headed back to Warrens in the evening to meet up with everyone again to watch fireworks. We headed up to suicide hill in Turtle Rock, we saw a bunch of fireworks they just weren't that close. Overall America's birthday was chill! :)

Sorry no pictures, I was too lazy.

Camping, Mo's Birthday, Chillin' Weekend

Friday I got off work at 2PM and planned to meet up with Timmy, Corrine, Alex, and Tisha in San Onfre State Beach to camp out. I was the first one there but they were right behind me. Corrine and I watched Timmy, Adam, and Alex surf for a while. Hmmm, I think Alex is the only one with actual surfing skills. Sorry my friends. After the boys made us burgers...Yummy! I left at around 10PM, I had to work Saturday...booo! I wish I had been able to stay and play at the beach the next day.

Saturday I worked all day then meet up with Brian and Sean at Blue Beet for Mo's 27th birthday. Some of Mo's friends got kicked out the bar so Mo walked me to my car and went to meet up with the rest of his friends at Beach Ball. I have been so lame lately, I've been wanting to go out, but I can't stay out past midnight. I am officially old.

Sunday I worked again, after work I ambushed Warren at his house. We chilled there since his parents are in Alaska for the next week!

Vespa S

My co-worker at lulu has a Vespa...so cute! He drives it down PCH everyday for work, he pays about $7.50 for a tank a gas! He made me want one now! Gas is out of control, if I can ride a Vespa on surface streets that would save a ton of cash! I know my mom would probably die if I got one. I told Rani and she said, "OMG that is so dangerous," she said she wan't worried about me being safe but other people seeing me. Such a mom! :)

Vespa S
Photobucket
MSRP $4,199

The appeal of the sporty 'Vespino' lives on in the shape of the all-new Vespa S, inspired by Vespa's long traditions in young and dynamic scooter design. The minimalist styling of the Vespa S traces its origins back to legendary models like the Vespa 50 Special and the Vespa Primavera.

The Vespa Special (1969) and Vespa Primavera (1967) became the icons of a generation whose aspirations and conquests were to shape the world for decades to come. Compact, nippy, and dynamic, these models led the way in creating new trends in design and technology, appealing to a youthful generation.

The new Vespa S reflects the same sporty and dynamic characteristics of this previous generation. Design and technology have been carefully considered to emphasize the essence and spirit of Vespa; design is in keeping with the classic Vespa, whilst technology is up to date.
